About Me

Dr. Bill is retired Professor Emeritus, Emporia State University, living in the southern Missouri Ozarks in a little cabin in Hollister, MO, with his wife, Nancy. He is the author of "Back to the Homeplace," a family saga novel, and "13 Ways to Tell Your Ancestor Stories," as well as four family history books on the Kinnick, Brightwell and Schwyhart families. Dr. Bill is the author of several blogs and writes three regular columns for Examiner.com, one on Springfield (MO) Genealogy, one on Ozarks Cultural Heritage, and another on Springfield Heritage Tourism. He is also an original contributor at The In-Depth Genealogist digi-mag.
